DL Arka by Alphabets Heaven

“A materializing spaceship firing scintillating arpeggios at an indefinable nomad, a sanskrit mirage of a metropolis, a sky with an atmosphere so sulfurous the sun is a hazy impression, and moons standing in euclidean symmetry orbiting a drama with no witness.” - Alphabets Heaven

My first post and it is only a short song but it encapsulates a lot of what to expect from my posts. Bass driven future-music. This track is from a project being run by netlabel  Peppermill Records, they specialise in collaborative projects and generally new and interesting music all released under creative commons.

This particular project is called 2999 and is a series started in July, where every week for the next year a song written as a soundtrack to the end of the 30th century is released along with custom artwork. The illustrators get to choose from the library of songs and create their own visual representation of the track. This track being the first in the project was actually created in the reverse order, the producer created the music to reflect a Sci-Fi painting by David Schleinkofer. Each producer then also writes a short paragraph giving a sort of narrative to the image and sound. I think it is such a great idea for a project and will be following it closely.

This track by Alphabets Heaven from the UK completely explodes when the beats come in everything just seems to get sucked through and be pulled forward, the use of several different “laser” sounds also really appeals to me. Finally I think the song is best appreciated by reading the artists description of the track (top) and looking at the art work in hi-res.
