Drive is banging off the bat through hella stuttered slap bass, guitar stabs and a steady kick-snare littered with gated glitches. Lets move fast! I’ll leave it at that and let the track speak for itself, the only bit I’d want different is a stripped down ending rather than an 80s fade out. Perfectly pumping jam besides!
I found Daan Pothoven’s music through thesixtyone, a site for exploring music of all music licenses and all different costs. There’s a good deal over there that’s free and free, the interface is fresh (tho sometimes fresh for the sake of fresh and not for the sake of usability), and there’s a fun little quest system which turns hunting new mewsåk into a game.
Back to Daan Pothoven, he’s got a selection of other well crafted and mastered tunes up on his site. Definitely putting quality above quantity since he released his first track in June of 2007 and only has 9 tracks for download. Highly collectable: click on the orange “music and sound” text to highlight his music posts or click around everything to peek into his visionary world of design.
