DL Reign of Dreams (Backe’s Chimpagne Rework) by Please

The ilove*fam is breeding faster than bunnies! Last week we welcomed ilovegirlmusic into the fold which reminded me of this fine cut from 2008 featuring delicate instrumentation and, yes, girl voice!

Here the female specimen is Lena Kask who is one half of the Malmö based duo Please. Andreas Sjöberg typically rounds the two as the producer/hacker, but here we have a delicious reduction by Backe. Striping everything but the most tender bits away, this Chimpagne Rework never fails move me through the melancholy longing stirred with hopeful serenity that is Reign of Dreams. Just my favorite of the few fine Please remixes at 23seconds netlabel catalog index twenty six.
